OUT OF THE WILD ART

The primary intent of this special art exhibition is to bring awareness to the plight of wild animals born into captivity. It highlights what has happened to them in the hands of their owners that resulted in majestic exotics like lions, tigers, etc, needing a safe and loving home like Cedarhill Animal Sanctuary.

All our art is created by our animals for our animals. All the animal artists will never know what life is like out in the wild as nature intended. Their individual stories of how they were treated before arriving in Cedarhill are sad and sometimes horrific. It is at Cedarhill where the healing and trust between animal and human begins and with patient, loving care, the trust is restored. One of the unusual ways for us to safely interact with the big cats is by offering them the opportunity to play in a painting enrichment activity.
